Hello forumers!
This weeks challenge will bring you a very new idea. The challenge will include having to make some type of video that will have you explaining this forum and what's really good about it. You can set up your movie so that you're typing to your audience with notepad or just showing stuff around, or using your real life voice!
Your video will have to include all the good stuff about this forum, and why they should join it, you may use my template below to get some ideas..
Anything above is pretty much true and you can use anything from the above you'd like in your video. Remember that you want to try to get to the point of your video before too long, you don't want users to stop the video before the good stuff!
After you finish your video, you'll have to post it on Youtube, Remember, the more viewers you get, the more this forum will grow.
Also when you upload your video, make sure you ensure you add the URL to the board right away in your movie, and that you include a link to it in your video description, this will make it efficient for all viewers.
Also, choosing a title that is attractive is on the leading end, you'll want something that gets people to watch it, but it must be something along the lines of "Join our RuneScape Forum! etc.
Make sure you include in the video that it's recommend that you invite all your friends, that way it makes them feel like they need to register. Trust me this works!
I'm sure right now you're wondering why there is such a strange challenge this week, this is why. First off, when you post your video up on YouTube, thousands of viewers will view the video and probably join the forum! This is good and it's just what we need. Additionally, when you advertise the forums to your friend in the game, your friend can report you if you tell them the URL of your site. Fortunately enough your friend can't do anything if you tell them to search a keyword of your movie title in RuneScape, Jagex can't do anything!
Also, when you create your movie, it's a good idea to put as many tags related to runescape as you can think of, this means if you have to watch a few other videos to do some tag gathering to ahead!
After your movie gets placed on YouTube, please post the URL of your video on this thread or send to me privately through a personal message. Your challenge will be done!
I'll be making a video advertisement to the forums here too shortly, I'll post the URL on here when it's ready, you can use mine as an example if you wish.
With all hard challenges like this there must always be a reward. Because of this I am willing to add a note onto your account saying you did a major deed to the forum by doing major advertisement, this will look splendid for your resame!!!
If you have any other reasonable rewards, please let me know, I might be able to improvise.
This assignment is due by 11:59:59 on Saturday Evening, I'll be nice and have it be in GMT -11 time zone.
If it's not in by then it won't get full credit.
