Hi, I am pleased to welcome you to the forum greetings forum! Here you are able to introduce yourself and show to your new friends what hobbies you do and what you're interested in. Go ahead! However, if you are responding to one of these introductions, please make your responses very informative, as a productive example, please tell me which of the responses below you think is better. A: Hello there young lad! Welcome to the boards! B: Hello, I am pleased to meet you! I am thrilled to see what kind of things you are interested in. My avatar in RuneScape is level 138 with 99 woodcutting, it's not the best account I'd think but it's pretty cool I think. You're account is pretty cool! If you want you can add me in the game if you want, my username is madeupman3 and I'd love to talk to you. Anyways see you around in the forum and I can't wait to talk to you in the future! ___________________________________________________________________ As you can see you would probably say that response B is much better than response A, it is much more informative and it makes the person who is just starting out feel that you're involving them. That's great! If you can't follow this, I'll just remind you of this rule and that it's important to treat our newer users as they're respected citizens of the community, a simple "Welcome to the forums!" post just won't cut it. I'll leave this thread open in case you have any further questions, thanks for your understanding in this important issue. ~Math Professor
